Fish for Your Chips

My Study Abroad Experience to Leicester, England.

Thursday was Thanksgiving and I wasn’t able to celebrate like I normally would with my family. Luckily, we have Skype so I am able to talk to them and see them. I was also able to see my Nonnie (mom’s mom) and talk to her, since she was with my mom. She was excited to see me even though I am here and they are there. Beccs, one of the girls from my block, did the sweetest thing and got me Oreo’s from ASDA for Thanksgiving because it was an American thing that she could find. Thank you so much Beccs! And I had a PB & J for my “Thanksgiving Dinner” which made Beccs laugh because that’s another American thing. But since I wasn’t able to give my thanks at dinner, here I go now:

I am thankful for:

  • My family, they mean everything
  • The last moments I got to spend with my dad, and the Christmas we shared
  • My wonderful friends, who stuck by me through thick and thin
  • Clayton, my love
  • My co-workers, for supporting me always
  • The study abroad offices of both Universities
  • Block 2, meeting such wonderful people in a foreign place, and making it feel like home
  • For having basic essentials that we all take for granted
  • Internet!
  • And last but most important for me, GOD!
